Healthier food should always leave a good taste in your mouth and that’s exactly what our whole grain sandwich bun does. This delicious bread is made with untreated, enriched wheat flour, whole wheat flour, water, cracked wheat, flax seeds, corn meal, pearled barley, rye, triticale, rolled oats, brown rice, sesame seeds, buckwheat, millet, cracked durum wheat, sea salt, yeast and malted barley. GREEN GODDESS SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Boulart® Whole Grain sandwich buns
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups of baby spinach
  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups soft goat cheese
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 2 tbsp of fresh thyme, chopped
  • Green goddess dressing
  • Kosher salt and pepper

 

GREEN GODDESS DRESSING

  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 small shallot, peeled
  • 1 bunch tarragon, leaves picked
  • ¼ bunch parsley
  • 1 lemon
  • Kosher salt and pepper

Method

  1. Place the mayo, shallot, tarragon and parsley in a blender.
  2. Turn on the blender to high and while it runs drizzle in the butter milk.

 

TO ASSEMBLE SANDWICH

  1. In a small mixing bowl whip the goat’s cheese with the lemon zest and the chopped thyme.
  2. Spread some goat cheese on the base of each bun.
  3. Next, place the pear, avocado and spinach in even layers and top with a spoonful of the dressing-enough to cover the spinach.
  4. Finish with the top half of the bun and enjoy!
